Camphill Blair Drummond: A learning disability charity providing residential and meaningful daily activities for adults with severe learning difficulties, situated in beautiful countryside in the heart of Scotland.
Jim wrote the strategic, operational, financial and development plans for social enterprise, Camphill Blair Drummond. He developed/revised business models; identified grant and loan funding packages (alongside financial guarantees); designed internal operating systems; oversaw tender processes and identified Capital Development Project staffing needs, as well as conducting recruitment processes.
Key achievements:
- Developing the business plans which turned annual deficit into a significant surplus
- increasing staffing, numbers of residents and new day care services
- Identifying and negotiating a package of £1.75 million in grants, loans, and guarantees to launch a significant Capital Development Project
